Fav Blogs/Websites

There are several blogs I follow consistently – here they are:

Boarding area showcases some of the most popular travel blogs out there and will give you a quick look at current events in the miles and  points world:  www.boardingarea.com

Frugal Travel Guy publishes information about traveling cheap all over the world using miles and points:  www.frugaltravelguy.com

The Points Guy is great at letting us know about amazing travel alerts (mistake fares, reduced mileage awards, etc.) and I love his destination reports, which show hotel options (including points required) in each city featured:  www.thepointsguy.com

Million Mile Secrets – Dariaus has a lot of great content on how to accumulate and spend your points and miles:  www.millionmilesecrets.com

Hip2Save is a coupon and savings blog by a busy mom that I enjoy reading, but the savings has to be really good for it to be worth my time:  www.hip2save.com

Mr. Money Mustache gives tips and philosophy on living frugally – may be extreme for some, but he has a very interesting point of view and I enjoy reading his blog – it certainly makes me think about how we in America are so conditioned to be such materialistic consumers:  www.mrmoneymustache.com

Don’t ever leave points/miles on the table – I always use EvReward to find out how I can get the most from my online purchases – just put in the name of the store you are shopping at and a list of options where you earn miles & points for going through certain portals appears – click through to use any of these portals:  www.evreward.com

You will need a program to keep track of all your miles and points balances (although a few airline programs are not included):  www.awardwallet.com

There are many more good websites for miles & points, including FlyerTalk (which will blow your mind with how much content is available, much of it no longer valid) but I will leave these out for now as the content out there can be mind-numbing.
